Clear Out Pagefile On Shutdown.

When working on your PC, having Word documents or webpages open means that the pages get loaded into the RAM, to save RAM Windows tends to put various files into your Page File (Like a cache system). Microsoft has left an option to clear out the Pagefile on shutdown off as default,
here is the way to switch it on. Take note, this increases shutdown time.

Start Regedit. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
Session Manager\Memory Management Select ClearPageFileAtShutdown from the list on the right. Right on it and select Modify. Change the value to 1 to enable. Reboot your computer.

Digsby.

In today’s day and age, there are so many ways to connect with your family, friends and the entire world! and then save the installation file.

Next, simply begin the installation procedure. In the third step, you'll be prompted to create a Digsby account. If you choose to use Digsby on multiple computers, all of your settings will be the same.

After the installation process is done, Digsby will open. Go ahead and type in your username and password.

Now, click on Add Accounts. We'll begin with your IM accounts, so select Add IM Account.

You can then choose from popular clients, such as AIM, MSN, Google Talk and many more.

Enter in the username and password you use with the IM program you chose and then click OK.

After that, you'll need to check the box next to your account.

Go ahead and do the same thing for your e-mail and the social networking Web sites you use. Just be sure to check the appropriate boxes when you're done.

After you're finished with everything, click Done and your Digsby list will be nice and neat with all of your accounts in it. It should look something like this:

Now, if you go to the View menu and press Skins, you can see another great feature from Digsby. The skins allow you to control what your buddy list and IM windows will look like

Just take a look at this.

So, what happens when you set up your e-mail address and Facebook account, you ask? Well, you get automatic notifications and access right from your desktop.

A fresh copy of the registry is smaller.

This will make your PC start faster and consume less memory. How Note: If you are experience problems with the registry or suspect that your registry is corrupted correct this problem before trying this tip.

1. Backup the registry by running scanregw.
2. Run RegEdit and export the registry to C:\Windows\NewReg.reg
3. Restart your PC. Press F8 during boot and choose command prompt only.
4. Enable a 8MB disk cache with writebehind caching by typing smartdrv 8192 8192 C+.
5. Change to Windows directory at the command prompt type RegEdit /C NewReg.reg.

Note: This procedure can take a few minutes to run. If the procedure does not complete restore your registry from the backup and continue.
